This is an introductory tour of Kota Kinabalu, the State Capital of Sabah - The Land Below The Wind. Observe a bird's eye view of Kota Kinabalu from Signal Hill.
Proceed to Sabah Foundation Building - one of the few hanging structure in the world. Stop over at the Buddhist Temple. Visit the Sabah State Museum, which displays artifacts from Sabah's past and modern work of art that speak of a vibrant, dynamic present.
Pass by the State Mosque- this resplendent structure, with its majestic domes and gold motifs, is a spectacular sight.
Drive to Tanjung Aru to see the imposing sights of the long sandy beach. Return to your hotel by 1200 noon. |

Take a drive of 30 minutes from Kota Kinabalu to Mengkabong Water Village, a settlement of the Bajaus, the descendant of pirates who set foot on this land in the early 19 th Century.
At present, this tribe are fisherman who resides on a village built on water. The spectacular sights are the houses, which stand on stilts and connected by narrow wooden planks.
The tour includes the open market at Tuaran, suspension bridge, chinese temple and a pottery factory. Return to your hotel by 1300 hrs. |

Pick up from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu and drive to Kota Belud. Rice fields, villages and nice scenery can be seen along the way. Kota Belud is the land for the Bajau, a local native tribe who have settled here for a long time. On every Sunday, the Bajau bring out their local produce, handicraft, and other wares to be sold in this large open air market.
The market is also the focal point for the locals to socialise and catch up with the latest. You can see them in colourful costume and mingle in groups. The Bajau like their horses and have been using them as local transportation for a long time. Today, you may be able to see the Bajau horsemen with their traditional colourful costume on Parade in the field.
Buffalo is used widely in the rice cultivation in the areas around Kota Belud as farming method has never been modernised. Today, you may also be able to see the numerous buffalo lined up to be auctioned to the highest bidders. Return to Kota Kinabalu and transfer back to your hotel by 1300 hrs. |

Transfer from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu to Tanjung Aru Railway Station for a ride in the only steam locomotive in Borneo.
The colonial train ride stop at Papar for sightseeing. On the return trip, lunch is served on board. Transfer back to your hotel. |
